Paul B. Stephens Jr. School

School Partnerships

PARTNERSHIPS play a critical role in the success of our students and programs at Paul B. Stephens School. We have a variety of different partnerships… and all of them are extremely important.

One of our partnerships is the relationship we have with the businesses and organizations that allow our students to come to their facilities daily for Community Based Instruction. Currently, the seniors work at Mease Countryside Hospital, Target, Countryside Christian Church and Westchester Gardens Nursing Home. These businesses and organizations play a major role in preparing our students for the world of work.

Two other critical partnerships are with our School Partners and Classroom Partners. School Partners are businesses, families or individuals who donate money to assist with a variety of school program needs. Classroom Partners are also businesses, families or individuals who donate money for a specific classroom. Their generosity allows teachers to purchase materials and supplies for special projects and activities they might otherwise be unable to plan. When you visit the school, you will see “STARS” galore on our main hallway walls. These STARS shine for partners who have donated $150 or more to our school.

We also have a partnership with Clearwater High School. Each day a group of their students come to our school and are assigned a variety of jobs, including: classroom assistance, office assistance and media center assistance. They spend the morning at Paul B. Stephens making a difference, and then they return to Clearwater High School.

We are also fortunate to have partnerships with individuals who volunteer at our school. Parents come and assist in many positive ways. Some parents have been involved in our School Advisory Council (SAC) and Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for many years. They continue to attend necessary meetings and pitch in for all of our fundraisers.

We are proud of our partnerships and continue to work to increase them. If you would like to partner with Paul B. Stephens, please let us know. We have many opportunities and welcome the involvement.
