PTA Mission: • To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
• To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and
• To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
A message from the Skycrest PTA president:
On behalf of the Skycrest Elementary PTA, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us. We are an active group of parents, teachers, staff and administrators working towards one common goal -- to make the school experience better for all who walk through our doors.
Skycrest PTA supports many of the activities and functions that happen during the school year. We provide much needed manpower and funds to enhance the ongoing activities at Skycrest.
This is your opportunity to contribute to the many things that benefit all our children here at Skycrest. Your involvement, whether at home, in school or in your community, makes the difference.

SAC The Skycrest Elementary School Advisory Council (SAC) is a team of people representing various segments of the community -- parents, teachers, students, administrators, support staff, business/industry people and other interested community members. Members of SAC are invited to join work groups, often called school improvement teams (SITs), that are responsible for developing and implementing strategies and action plans to accomplish the school's goals.

Community Involvement Community involvement is a very important part of our school. We have parents as well as corporate volunteers who tutor and mentor our children. They also help our teachers and staff in the classrooms. Many businesses in our community serve as partners in education. By providing money, manpower and/or materials, these businesses allow our school to provide our children with opportunities we otherwise couldn't supply. We at Skycrest are very proud to have our community involved in the education of our children in such a positive way. If you would like to support our school by volunteering or becoming a business partner, please call Skycrest at (727)469-5987. |
