Adopt-A-Class Program
We want the best for our children. Our dedicated staff at Sawgrass Lake can use your help. We invite you to become a Partner in Education by making a contribution to our Adopt-A-Class program. This investment will bring you much satisfaction and make an impact on the future of our children. It is time that we join together to ensure that the future leaders of our community have the resources available for them to succeed.
For a tax-deductible donation of $100.00, your business can adopt a class or special area of our school and become a Partner in Education. Your donation will be used to provide items from your classroom' individual wish list which could not otherwise be purchased because of continued budget constraints. Such items include computer software, books, visuals, special learning items and classroom supplies.

To solicit financial support for our classrooms, special projects and for areas of our school such as the Media Center, art and music classes, P.E. and SLD.
To create an environment in which the children and staff at Sawgrass Lake can feel that the local business community is dedicated to our children's education and future.

Scrubs N Stuff is a Community Partner with Sawgrass Lake Elementary and a percentage of every uniform purchase is donated back to our school. Uniform Policy: Students must wear
Polo style shirts in navy blue, light blue or hunter green.
Navy or khaki pants, shorts or skirts.
Boys in 3rd-5th grades must wear a belt.
Students are able to wear a Sawgrass logo t-shirt or a "readers are leaders" t-shirt on FRIDAY only.
Scrubbs n Stuff is located at the Wal-Mart Plaza at 3993 Tyrone Blvd. N, St. Petersburg. The phone number there is 347-6750, and they are open 7 days a week. Scrubs N Stuff will carry out your student uniform needs year around. |

The Hungry Heart Organization
The Hungry Heart Program is an 8-step program that helps people looking to lose weight "naturally" and "permanently" in a one-on-one counseling environment that uses behavior modification, nutrition counseling, and positive relaxation techniques such as guided visualization and hypnosis. For every parent or teacher that comes from Sawgrass Lake Elementary who elects to complete either the 4 Session (Nutrition Program) or the 8 Session (inclusive program focused on behavior change and weight loss), $50 or $100 will be donated respectively.
