Dear Families,
It is with much pride that I congratulate everyone on a fantastic year. So many positive events have happened over the year. Our campus is blooming with kindness gardens, picnic tables, story gardens and beautiful reading benches, a true rejuvenation for a special school with an incredible staff and student body.
Please remember that again this year, I will not be accepting teacher requests from parents for their child’s teacher. I stand beside all of our teachers at San Jose and have confidence that your child will receive an excellent education while attending our school.
San Jose will undergo some changes beginning in the next few weeks and extending into the summer. A security camera system will be installed and finally…the shell parking lot will be paved! The new paved lot may change the traffic pattern upon your return next year. Please stay tuned for details as we continue to take steps in making our campus as safe as possible. We are also growing with the addition of another second, third and fourth grade class.
Before we actually leave for summer, we do have a couple more exciting events. During the second week of May, we are celebrating Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. Take a moment to let your child’s teacher know you care. We have a Fuel Up Play 60 event and we have our final Chorus concert.
I hope the summer will provide you with the opportunity to savor memories of childhood and create new ones with your loved ones.
Be safe, have fun and read in abundance!
Sincerely,
Monika Wolcott Principal, San Jose
