2012-2013 Sunshine State Readers-Battle of the Books
| We are so excited to be participating in the Battle of the Books Competition again this year. In the 2011- 2012 Battle, our Navigators won our San Jose School Battle in a very close contest in April 2012. They competed at Regionals in Largo in May, tried their best, but lost that contest . Six other teams competed in our SJ school battle: Chargers, Knights, Titans, Jousters, Nobles, Lions. We also appreciate the help our our Tech Team, the Squires who help in all aspects of the practices and school battle.
If you will be in Grades 3-5 at San Jose during the 2012-13 school year, and would like to participate in the Battle of the Books program, the first step is to start reading the books below. Get a head start by reading some over the summer. They are usually available at all public libraries and for purchase from local bookstores.
