Connect to Pinellas County Council of PTAs.
The Parent Teacher Association is a team of people who work closely together with the school to enhance each and every child’s education. PTA’s purposes, in common with the National PTA, are:
* to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
* to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children;
* to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
Please join our Parent Teacher Association. Your membership will help to provide our students with activities and will support purchases for our school to promote highest student achievement.

(SAC)
Connect to Pinellas SAC Association.
The Rio Vista Elementary School Advisory Council (SAC) is a team of people representing various segments of the community: parents, teachers, students, administrators, business/industry people and other interested community members.
The SAC is responsible for strategic planning for the school improvement plan and working jointly with the principal and staff members after analyzing relevant data. SAC determines the goals in the plan and how progress toward the goals will be measured.
School Improvement Teams (SITs), are responsible for developing and implementing strategies and action plans to accomplish the goals.
Rio Vista Elementary’s SAC meets the first Wednesday after the first Thursday of the month. Their meetings are held in the Library Information Center at 8 a.m.
