School Advisory Council Members Needed
(SAC)


Palm Harbor Middle School is in need of parents and students who would like to join our SAC. This group is committed to making decisions about our School Improvement Plan and implementation of highest student achievement. SAC meets the second Monday of each month in Palm Harbor Middle’s Media Center at 5:30 p.m.

PHMS Autistic students are collecting Box Tops to raise money to buy hands on materials, tactile manipulative and items for the end of year picnic. All the school is invited in this effort PLUS the seventh period class that brings in the most Box Tops will win a pizza party for their class. Parents are also invited to visit www.boxtops4 education.com to apply for a box top visa card or to purchase from various stores such as Land’s End. Each Purchase from here results in money for PHMS. Box Tops must have a valid expiration date.

Congratulations to Our Five Star Schools

Palm Harbor Middle is again a 5 Star School!!!

28 Pinellas County schools received the Five Star School Award for 2009. This award program was implemented in 1994 and is the Florida Department of Education’s highest award for family and community involvement. Each school that has shown evidence of exemplary family and community involvement receives a certificate of distinction from the state. Schools must achieve 100 percent of criteria in the following categories: business partnerships, family involvement, volunteers, student community service and School Advisory Councils.
