Principal's Message |
PERSONAL VISION
I believe that we, as a school community, are collectively responsible for building the foundation for the future success of all of our students. We must prepare each child for the next level of education to ensure that they are life long learners with the tools to attain their dreams. By having all students on grade level or above in reading, writing, mathematics and science by the end of fifth grade, we will have done our part.
I believe, as principal, I am ultimately responsible for the success or failure of our students. I am dedicated to supporting teachers and staff in the pursuit of my vision. I realize that highest student achievement comes from "people" rather than "programs." I must provide teachers time for collaboration and personally take an active role in their classrooms.
I believe that I am a leader of extremely talented and dedicated teachers whom I must look toward for internal professional development. I must utilize these experts to model, mentor and motivate fellow teachers. It is critical that we become a community of learners and collaborators. I don't believe, "If nothing changes, nothing changes." I believe "If nothing changes, we change for the worse."
I believe one of the major keys to success in life is developing and maintaining positive relationships. I must ensure that each classroom teacher is taking time to build community and taking a professionally personal interest in the lives of each student. I must build trust with all members of our school community and consistently and regularly share my vision to keep it vibrant and alive.
I must be the key to the success of Palm Harbor Elementary School. To become a highly effective instructional transformational leader, I will pursue this vision with passion and fervor.
