Oakhurst Elementary, along with all elementary schools in Largo, is participating in a project initiated from Tufts University called the Heart of Largo. The project is a community-based environmental approach to obesity prevention that will target students in grades one through three. The aim of the project is to influence the environments that affect every part of a child’s day: before, during and after school. As we receive information or articles of interest, we will post them for you to read. |
