Pathways to Success

Pathways to Success Brochure
In the 2010-2011 school year, the State Department of Education adopted new standards for our curriculum areas. Because the standards changed, the end of the year testing changed as well and FCAT is now referred to as FCAT 2.0. As you might think, requirements for graduation were impacted by this change. It is never too early to begin thinking about what will be asked of your child in order to graduate! If you would like to preview the details of this information, go click the link above called "Pathways to Success". The brochure is also available on our district website using www.pcsb.org under the Parents and Students tab and following the drop down menu to locate the Parent’s Bulletin Board postings. It is full of interesting information!

IMPORTANT Change in Crossing Guards

Effective immediately the intersection of Highland Lakes Blvd at Lake Pointe will no longer be staffed by a school crossing guard. Students traveling the route to and from school will be crossed at the intersection of Alderman Road and Woodbridge which is staffed with 2 school crossing guards. Students should not cross Highland Lakes Blvd at Lake Pointe, the crosswalk will be removed as well as the 15 mph flashers and other school crossing signs and markings. Pinellas County Sherrif's Deputies will be in the area enforcing the 15 mph school zone at Alderman and Woodbridge.

This is a good opportunity for parents to become involved in the Walking School Bus Program. If interested in starting a program please feel free to contact: Jeanne Welch at jeanne.welch@allkids.org or Tiffany Schreiber at tiffany.schreiber@allkids.org

It has been requested to encourage you to document your concerns using the Travel to School Safety Report so we can have one tracking source. Here is the Link! Thanks!
