Effective Monday, November 29, 2010, students who are leaving early are required to provide WRITTEN notice before 10:30 a.m. that same day. The county-wide effort to improve school attendance continues with this change. When students come to class late or leave early, it is distracting to the other students; it disrupts the flow of the classroom and impedes learning. Students who are not in class have fewer opportunities to learn the necessary skills that enable them to succeed later on in school. Please note that exceptions will be made ONLY for legitimate emergencies.
