Honors and Awards
2012
Under direction of the art teacher, 4 students work was picked for "Taking Shape- Pinellas County". Their work is proudly displayed at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center.
Math Moves U- Several students were part of the prestigious math competition, Math Counts, hosted by Tampa Bay area Engineers. They placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th.
FBLA- District XII Competition we had 7 students place 1st, 5 students place 2nd, and 1 placing 3rd.
DHMS Boys Basketball won the North Division Championship under the direction of Kristopher Belvis.
2011
DHMS was an honored recipient of the 5 Star Award that is given out for showing evidence of exemplary community involvement. This award was established by the Commissioner of Education. We are proud of our students, staff and volunteers that made this possible.
DHMS Pipe band performed in the Orlando Highland Games and placed 2nd. The band also had their second command performance in St. Augustine and displayed excellent DHMS Highlander Pride.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Department Police Athletic League runs our PAL program from 5:30-8:30 Monday through Friday. This is a free program open to all students. Click here for more information.
