What is Title I?

Title I is a federally funded program available to schools with a high percentage of students eligible for free and reduced lunch. These funds are above and beyond the district funds given to schools and are to be used to enhance student achievement. In Pinellas County, Title I serves 67 public schools (K-12) and 15 non-public elementary schools.

The Title 1 program at Dunedin Elementary works to increase student achievement by providing additional personnel, professional development for teachers, technology, instructional materials, and family involvement activities and resources.

School Advisory Committee

The primary purpose of SAC is to provide parents, teachers, and all other members of the community an oportunity to actively participate in the development of education priorities, assessment of school needs, and implementation of the School Improvement Plan (SIP). All interested persons are invited to attend scheduled meetings.
