Welcome to Curtis Fundamental, home of the Cougars! I am very blessed to be the principal
of this exceptional learning community. My personal mission is to assist others in achieving
their highest performance through support and example. My leadership philosophy incorporates
this mission with my values of teamwork, communication and diversity. In the twenty plus
years I have worked in education, I have had the opportunity to see firsthand the
effectiveness of cooperative teamwork in obtaining operational goals. I attempt to model
the importance and acceptance of all stakeholder’s input in decision making. Effective
communication has always been a quality I value and an aim of my personal work ethic. The
consideration of individual needs is necessary for creating learning environments that will
be successful for all students. My extensive background in exceptional student education
has taught me to be flexible and to value the diversity of each person, whether student,
staff, or parent. I look forward to sharing in the future successes of this wonderful school
with all the community of Curtis Fundamental Elementary School.
