Mandatory Uniform Policy

Scrubs N Stuff is a Community Partner with Azalea Elementary and a percentage of every uniform purchase is donated back to our school.

Uniforms can also be purchased at Wal-Mart, Target, JC Penny, Kmart, and other various clothing suppliers.

Shirts
Shirts – White, Navy, or Powder Blue
• Polo type ONLY (knit)
• Collared and sleeved(no frills or scalloped edges)
• 3 to 4 buttons or no more than 7” zipper
• No logos
• Shirts TUCKED IN at all times


Bottoms
Pants, Shorts, Skirts, Capri, Skorts, or Jumpers – Navy Blue or Khaki
• No jeans or jean styles (no square pockets in rear)
• No spandex
• No fleece (sweat pants)
• No “hip huggers”
• Fitted and neat and not worn below undergarment line
• Shorts, shirts, jumpers, and skorts must be long enough to go below finger line. No cutoffs or torn pants, capris or shorts.

Shoes & Socks
• Closed toes with closed heels ONLY
• No Heely's or Crocs
• Socks – white or blue
• Belts are optional but if worn they must be black, brown, navy, or khaki with a small buckle

Visible Winter Wear
• White, light blue or navy undershirts ONLY
• Powder Blue, White, or Navy ONLY sweaters and non-hooded sweatshirts allowed in the buildings (no visible logos)
• White, light blue or navy turtlenecks ONLY allowed under uniform shirt
• Winter coats allowed ONLY outside

Students who wear Nonuniform sweater or jacket colors to school must remove them when they enter ANY classroom. If a classroom is excessively cold students may exchange their nonuniform jacket at the office for a uniform color jacket and trade back at the end of the school day.

Consequences can be assessed for noncompliance. Any child coming to office on their own for a loaner will not be assessed a consequence. Consequences can include calling home for uniforms before being allowed into class and/or mandatory parent conference.

Non Uniform Days
• Picture day(s)
• Friday is Azalea T-shirt day, club days
• Enterprise Village
• Other special events ( a call or note will come home to alert families)
• Scouting meeting days – scouts may wear their scout uniform
• Fifth Grade Graduation

Azalea T-shirts and sweatshirts are sold through our PTA. They can also be purchased in the front office.
