Welcome to Honors Biology!
I hope everyone is ready for a new semester of exciting information. We will be starting this semester with the Scientific Method, Biochemistry and the Cell. We will then move onto Photosynthesis, Cell Respiration and Cell Division. |
 |
Have you ever wondered why your eyes are blue and your parents’ eyes are brown? Why you have a brother who has blond hair and you have brown hair? Maybe you have wondered what Stem Cell research is or Genetic Engineering. These topics are always on the news. We will be able to start answering all these question and more this year in Biology. |

Honors Biology is a very challenging course. We will be learning a lot of new information and will be moving at a quick pace in which some of you may not be familiar with. Please keep up with you homework as this is one of the most important ways of being successful in Honors Biology.
Just remember, biology can be a difficult subject to master. So, I encourage students to ask questions when they don’t understand something – chances are, someone else has the same question. Please do not hesitate to stop in or ask me for additional help.
Search through this website for some helpful tools. This website is a work in progress so if you have questions or suggestions please feel free to ask and suggest so that we can make this website more useful for you.
I look forward to an excellent semester! Mrs. Holewinski |
