The reason why I like Coraline is because she is a brave girl who had to step up to her fears. She was afraid of being stuck in the other world because she realized the other world is not a good place to live in. If you want to see how she realizes this, you must read Coraline to find out.

Akila's cover
One reason why I like Coraline is Miss Spink and Miss Forcible. These two ladies lived in the downstairs' flat with many Highland terriers. When they read Coraline’s tea leaves, they noticed Coraline was in trouble. They gave her a stone with a hole in it that later helped her in the other world. If you want to find out how, you just have to read Coraline by Neil Gaiman.

Zarnays Coraline Cover
The first thing I like about Coraline is there are two worlds. I also like the fact that Coraline’s other parents have button eyes. Furthermore, I like it when there was a noise coming from the corridor; it made me think that it could be a ghost. Finally, what I like about Coraline are the pictures on each designated chapter. Coraline is a great book to read, and I would recommend it to a friend.

I love the black cat in Coraline. I think he puts a little fun in the story. I also like the other mother because I just like her character in the story. I like the button eyes, too. I think it’s crazy and cool. I recommend this book to anyone who likes action stories.

Chantoria's cover
I like Coraline because she is brave and a nice person; also she is ready for whatever may happen. For example, when the other mother takes Coraline’s parents, Coraline is ready to play the game to get them back even though the other mother is a trickster and a liar. I like the fact that she is an explorer, which helps her overcome the evil that she encounters from the other mother. Before you go, I have another thing to say. Coraline is smart. The other souls trapped in the other mother’s house never escaped. Coraline was the only person who was able to. If you read this book, I believe you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Ryans Coraline Cover
What I like about Coraline is how they made the door that Coraline goes through. In the book the door is big, and in the movie it’s small. What else I like about the book is the house because it has different “flats” in it. Also the people in the house like the guy upstairs, Mr. Bobo, has a mouse circus that turns out to be cool at the end of the story.

Cody's Coraline Cover
I think Coraline is a great book because it has so much action. I also like Coraline because it has horror in it too. My favorite character in the story is the haughty black cat. I really like the part where the author waits until the end of the story to introduce Mr. Bobo’s real name. Another thing is that Coraline becomes excited about the mouse circus that turns out to be cool at the end of the story. The last thing I liked about this book is that it has great graphics.

What I like about Coralline is that she was a brave, nice, and kind girl. She was a girl who wanted to stay with the real world. Coraline must use all of her wits and every ounce of courage in order to save herself, the ghosts, and her parents. Read Neil Gaiman’s Coraline to find out how.

Dear Mr. Gaiman:

I really appreciate the fact that you wrote one of my favorite books, Coraline. At the time I was reading the book, it kept making me thinking. I wondered what’s going to happen next. My favorite character in the book was the black cat. The black cat was like a guidance counselor for Coraline. She could always go to him for advice; that’s the kind of friend I think anyone would love to have. Your book is awesome. I hope you write more because your fans are waiting!

Yours, Sai’Von

I really liked the book Coraline because the main character, Coraline, was so brave. Coraline did what ever she could to get her parents back with her. The best part of this book was when Coraline tricked the other mother into letting everybody free from her traps, and when she threw the cat at her face, it was so funny. When Coraline finally gets home, she has a dream that tells her that it’s not over yet.

The reason why I like Coraline is that it is wonderful how Coraline goes from one place to another, that is, from her real world to the “other” world. I also like that she takes up for herself. For example, she is not a follower; she is a leader. My suggestion to readers if you like action, mystery and fiction you should read Coraline.

Jaeirre's cover
Coraline is brave, interesting, and intelligent. She showed her bravery when she faced a huge monster that tried to kill her. She didn’t even scream. Coraline is also interesting because she doesn’t listen to the circus mice and chooses to go back through the door. Coraline is very intelligent because she thinks of a way she might be able to trick and defeat the other mother by herself. If you want to find out how, you have to read Coraline.

Ja'Kevia's cover
What I like about Coraline is that she is brave and determined to find her parents. She didn’t seem afraid of the other mother and father, and she wasn’t afraid of the rats. Another thing that I liked about Coralline is the circus mice and their voices that were "slightly whiny, high pitched," and whispery. Perhaps my favorite character is the cat and the fact that it stayed by Coraline’s side while she was in the other world.

Coraline is exciting. I like how things happen that you didn’t think would happen. And I like how towards the end of the story, Coraline and the other mother had the challenge. I also liked how the other mother was so sweet and nice at first, and then she turned mean and evil. If you like exciting books with unexpected twists, Coraline would be a good book to read.

John

Tamia's cover
My favorite part of Coraline was the end when Coraline figured out a way to trap the other mother’s hand. You will have to read the book to find out the unexpected ending and to see if she succeeds.

What I like about Coraline is the cat. He is a smart talker, brave, and fun. The cat uses sarcasm like me. He is brave when Coraline throws him at the other mother; he didn’t even scream at Coraline even though he was scared. It was great that he hurt the other mother and that gave them both some time to escape through the door. With them they had the snow globe and the marbles. The cat is also fun because he liked playing with his food: an evil spy rat working for the other mother. This scene looked cool in the movie.

Kagerald's cover
What I like about Coraline is when the “other” mother told Coraline that the second marble probably might be down in the basement. Coraline goes down there and sees a trap door. She gets the idea that it is away out. But when she goes to it this blob pops out and it sounds like a really old man. But guess what? It is the “other” father and the “other” mother is in his head controlling him and telling him to harm Coraline. But the “other” father does not want to. You begin to wonder if the trap door is too far away. Read Coraline to find out..

Pernell's cover
What I liked about Coraline was that she kept trying to look for her parents. In one part of the story, Coraline saw her parents in a mirror that the other mother pushed her into and saw the words “SU PLEH” spelled backwards. She was later pushed by the other mother into a closet and the door was locked. Coraline is a book filled with magic.

What I liked about Coraline was the cat. The cat was a big help to Coraline. In the other world he could talk. The cat was really nice and would make a good pet. As for the story, the cat was an important character that you have to meet.

What I like about Coraline are the rats because they sing funny, and they are really cool. I also like them because they are extra weird. About fifty rats went everywhere in Mr. Bobo’s clothes. The other world seems like magic. If you like evil stories, then you should read Coraline>/i>.

Frankie's Coraline Cover
What I liked about Coraline is when she kept going back to the other world even though her other mother still wants to put the buttons on her eyes. I also like the way Coraline defines bravery when her father went back to go get his glasses even though he knew that the bees were still there. The part I liked the most was when Coraline went into the room were the three ghosts were.

The main reason I liked Coraline was the black cat. I liked the black cat because it helped Coraline with almost everything. That was dangerous and necessary; I liked the way it talked in the other world even though the cat couldn’t talk in the real world. The black cat still was with Coraline through thick and thin, bad times and easy times, the cat was still there by Coraline’s side. So the black cat is the main reason why I liked the book Coraline.

In Coraline I like the other mother because she has button eyes and eats beetles for lunch. The other mother also wants Coraline to have button eyes because she wants her to stay with her forever. So Coraline makes a bet. If Coraline wins, she gets to go back home with her real mother and father and the three ghosts. However, if she loses, she stays with the other mother forever. I really enjoy this book and recommend it.

One thing that I like about the book Coraline is that there is a lot of adventure all throughout the book. Another very interesting thing that is cool is that in the other world they have buttons for eyes. I also like the rats and mice, because they can sing and are entertaining. I recommend this book to other people.
