Welcome Letter and Suggested Materials

Welcome Letter

Dear 4th Grade Student and Parent,

I’m the lucky person who gets to be your 4th grade teacher this coming year at Bay Vista Fundamental. Our class will be located behind the fourth grade building in a portable.

You probably would like to know a little information about me. I live in Riverview so I have an amazing drive to work everyday over the Skyway Bridge. I get to enjoy the beautiful, sparkling Tamp Bay Water; of course I do keep one eye on the road and one eye on the water. =-)

When I am not at Bay Vista I keep busy with my husband and daughter playing at the park, swimming, reading, cooking, scrapbooking and shopping. I love my job as a teacher because I get to help kids like you be the best you can be!

Now it is your turn. I would love to hear all about you. You can send me a letter about all your likes, dislikes, summer trips, sample writings or anything else you would like to share. I love getting mail, especially from my new students!

Well, I hope you have a fun and relaxing summer. I’ve included the Sunshine State Books list for those who want to get a jump start on the Battle of the Books for next year. Be sure to read everyday, write down your thoughts and practice your multiplication facts!!!

I will be anxiously waiting to see you on the first day of school, Tuesday, August 19th!
