Wringer is the story of an 8 year old boy who is having his 9th birthday. As all children, he is excited about his birthday until he remembers what will happen on his 10th birthday. He has run out of birthdays!

Due to the U.S. having too many people and not enough food, families are only allowed two children. The Population Police enforces this law. What happens when there is a third child born? This is the first book in a series called The Shadow Children.
