Nancy Millichamp, Library Information Specialist

I grew up in the St. Louis area and graduated from Southwest Missouri State. I began my teaching career as a reading teacher at Seminole High School in 1975. From there I moved to Osceola High School when it opened and I was a social studies and language arts classroom teacher for fourteen years. I obtained my master's degree in Library Science from USF in 1997. My years of classroom teaching have been invaluable in my role as librarian here at Madeira Beach. I enjoy our beautiful waterfront campus and sharing my love of reading with our students and faculty. Our library is also unique because we share the building with Madeira Beach Elementary. All Madeira Beach Middle school students have the opportunity to participate in the Reading Counts program and literacy programming including: Author Teleconference, Pinellas Tellers, Bookarama, Read Across America and the Battle of the Books.
