Our Students Love the Peacemakers Program
The Peacemakers Program is a holistic in-school program developed to empower children and youth to live peaceful lives.
An overwhelming majority of children report they have encountered a bully who made their life miserable at one time or another during their school career. Some children also live with violence at home. CASA has developed a school-approved Peacemaker Program to assist children in pre-school and middle school to build a solid foundation of values and encourage the development of lifelong peacemaking skills. By working in partnership with schools, CASA helps us understand the dynamics of power and control, especially when there is violence in the home, and reduce the terror that a bully can exert over fellow classmates.

Upon our guidance request, CASA staff members will lead students through a series of age appropriate lessons to do the following:

Identify thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Actively listen and deliver thoughtful "I" messages.

Turn conflict into peaceful resolution.

Foster peaceful relationships.

Develop a personal safety plan.

Peacemaker's Pledge:

To teach peaceful alternatives to violence.

To assist children and youth in strengthening developmental assets to serve as building blocks for becoming healthy, caring, and responsible citizens.

To assist children and youth in developing values which promote compassion, empathy, and respect for themselves, others, and the environment.

Volunteers Teaching a Junior Achievement Are from Val-pack!
Junior Achievement's Motto: Let Their Successes Be Your Inspiration!
The Junior Achievement's Vision:

The envisioned future ... what they aspire to become. Guided by our basic beliefs of integrity, respect, and excellence, Junior Achievement maintains an active vision, front and center, on how they can have a positive impact on the lives of more students.

Their vision is comprised of our core ideology & purpose:

To educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business, and economics to improve the quality of their lives.

From this, they articulate their mission:

To ensure that every child has a fundamental understanding of the free enterprise system. It's not an easy task, but it's the kind of challenge that JA takes on with relative energy, fervor, and decisive action.

Junior Achievement uses hands-on experiences to help young people understand the economics of life. In partnership with business and educators, Junior Achievement brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their potential.

They are a growing number of volunteers, educators, parents, and contributors who reach out to four million students each year, in grades K-12.
Together, they believe there's a lot that's right with today's kids. Kids crave opportunity. Kids want to be successful. Kids dream big about the future.... really big. Since Junior Achievement likes that, they totally revamped their middle school program. This program went from GREAT to even GREATER!
