Articles and Information About Social Networking Websites With the recent gain in popularity of "Social Networking" websites, such as MySpace.com and others, both students and parents need to have the information to make informed, safe, and ethical decisions about their online choices.
This collection of articles, broadcasts, and related links is intended to be used as a resource for families to help them stay informed, and to create a dialogue between parents, teachers and students about the benefits and consequences that are inherit in using online networking sites.
It is the goal of Southside Fundamental Middle School to provide our students with the safest possible environment in which to learn and grow as responsible community members. We believe that this is achieved through education, and that given the proper tools, support, guidance and family involvement, our students will make responsible choices about their citizenship in all communities, including those in cyber-space.
We hope that this resource is helpful. If you have any questions or comments, or think that other links should be included here, please email David Dusseault, Computer Education Instructor, at dusseaultd@pcsb.org.

(Note: If the clip won't play, I have had better luck using the Direct Listen Link located near the bottom of the webpage.) |
